The City of Allen Community Enhancement Department completed the five-year, 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan, which includes the 2020-2021 Annual Action Plan for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) in the summer of 2020.
The Consolidated Plan (Plan) is designed to be a collaborative process whereby a city’s residents and stakeholders shape the various housing and community development programs into effective, coordinated neighborhood and community development strategies.
The Plan details the housing and community development strategic plan that will be used for allocating CDBG funds for the next five program years; October 1, 2020–September 30, 2025.
The City Council approved the submission of the Plan at their July 28, 2020 Regular Meeting following two public hearings. Watch the presentation (Item 15).
