Monetary Donations

All money we receive is used to care for animals with special medical needs (surgeries, treatment, long-term care, etc.) as well as for special projects at the shelter to provide comfortable conditions for the animals. Special projects can include play yard renovations, fence repair and addition/repair of other shelter amenities.

Volunteer

Volunteers ages 18 and older assist at the shelter by walking dogs, playing with animals and helping with other tasks as needed. Volunteers must pass a background check and attend a 2-hour training program. Allen Animal Services is not accepting new youth volunteers at this time.

Foster

Interested in fostering an animal? We're looking for foster families! Fosters must pass a background check, attend an orientation and complete training with a coordinator.

Allen Animal Shelter appreciates donations of food, cleaning supplies, pet supplies and toys. Donations can be dropped off at the shelter.
