Water and Sewer Rates Amended November 1, 2021; Solid Waste and Household Hazardous Waste Collection Service Fees Amended June 1, 2022
Allen utility customers will see an increase in water and sewer rates as the city faces booming population growth and increased operational cost. Beginning Nov. 1, 2021, water rates will increase by approximately 6% for residential accounts, and sewer rates will increase by 8%. For residents with average water use, this translates to a combined water billing increase of approximately $6.49 per month. Watch the Sept. 28 City Council presentation explaining the new rates
Despite the water and sewer rate increases, Allen’s residential and commercial water rates remain among the lowest among the cities that get their treated water and wastewater treatment services from NTMWD. Learn how your water rates pay for more than water
Residential Solid Waste Services saw an increase in fees to replace lost/stolen garbage or recycle poly-carts to CWD, effective June 1, 2022.
